Peggys Cove – digital paintings

A couple of digital paintings I created using photos I took as source images.

Boats Waiting in Calm Waters

A digital painting I created using Photoshop CC 2017 plugin Topaz Simplify 4.0, Corel Painter 2017 & ArtRage 5.0. Based upon a photograph I took 10 years ago in 2007.

Old 35mm Photos

I recently purchased an Epson V370 Photo scanner that is capable of scanning 35mm negatives and slides. I’m quite pleased with the results.

Here are a few I’ve converted so far…

Love these traditional styled hot rods. Would look right at home in the pages of the Rodder’s Journal publication.

2016 Atlantic Nationals

I had the extreme pleasure of attending this years annual Atlantic Nationals Car Showin Moncton, New Brunswick. It is the largest car event in Atlantic Canada and one of the largest in Canada. There were close to 2,000 cars this year…

1928 Ford Roadster pickup & 1931 Ford Pickup hot rods

Show attendant directing driver of 1931 Ford to a parking spot while the driver of the 28 Roadster looks on. It is quite evident these cars are influenced by the traditional style hot rods of HAMB and the Rodder’s Journal magazine.

Crossing Guard’s Lunch Break

I usually do not take candid photos of people in public but sometimes the subject matter is just too good to pass up. This was one of those occasions. During one of my lunch hour walks at work, I came across a crossing guard taking his lunch break in the Hydrostone neighborhood of Halifax, June 2015.
